20.12.2017: Information regarding the tuition fees for international studentsAs of this semester, international students have to pay 1500 EUR as tuition fees. We have compiled a couple of methods for you, that tell you how you can exempt yourself from having to pay them. Spread the word, and tell them to as many as possible!Nearly all tertiary education providers in the state of Baden-Württemberg have introduced tuition fees as of Wintersemester 2017/18 for international students with residence outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in line with changes to the tertiary education regulations (§ 3 Landeshochschulgebührengesetz (LHGebG)); Affected students are required to pay EUR 1500 per semester, in addition to the student administration fee of EUR 152.30. The student university council does not support these changes. There are 3 possibilities through which affected international students can be exempted from paying tuition fees (described here). To ensure that all personal circumstances are taken into account and to ascertain whether your situation exempts you from tuition fees, we recommend contacting the academic international office / Department of international relations at the University of Heidelberg. 2.
